Before purchase, the property was inhabitable with an Alberta Health Services (AHS) order to vacate. The ECDC purchased the building in June 2021, making this the fifth property in the Project 10 initiative. An asbestos assessment was done, and the demolition occurred in October 2021. The following year, Skil-Tec started their work on constructing a custom-built home. A front-to-back duplex is anticipated to be ready for sale by late fall of 2023.
